Signing of a roll-out agreement in 84 hypermarkets of the Spanish Eroski Group
Store Electronic Systems (SES) won, in association with Wincor Nixdorf, Eroski’s competitive bid to equip 84 hypermarkets in Spain over a 3 year period; a minimum of 15 stores will be installed in 2008. The agreement amounts to a total of close to 2 millions Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL) ; to date, it is the industry’s largest deal recorded in Spain. The first stores should be installed early in the second quarter of 2008.

The Eroski Group is a leader in Spanish mass-retailing, where it operates 113 hypermarkets and 1 042 supermarkets. The Company also operates various other retail formats, such as cash & carry, sports equipment and perfume stores.

Before selecting SES to equip its stores with ESL, Eroski has installed and tested all three main technologies available.
